On Saturday, 5 Benton Park West Neighborhood Foresters received gear and completed their training. Congratulations to our new Neighborhood Foresters John Gabbert, Dorothy Jones, Jane Kersch, Chelsea Merta, and Robert Vossmeyer!
Our volunteers were taught by the Forestry Commissioner, Alan Jankowski, whose support makes the program possible. It was hot out, but by the end of the hands-on training, the 3100 block of Nebraska (south of Arsenal) was transformed!
We hope to finish training the rest of the cohort as soon as schedules allow, and to organize more tree pruning blitzes ASAP.
